Perfect Peace

Perfect Peace

You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 WEB

This is a promise of peace that comes to those who focus on the Lord and trust in him. No matter what is going on in the outside world, putting our focus on God calms the soul and floods the heart with peace. This is as true for Christians today as it was for the land of Israel in Isaiah’s time.

Focus on God

Without being focused on God, the ever-changing world can rob us of our peace. When we focus on Jesus and the gift of salvation, trouble falls away.

Jesus said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. WEB” As Christians, we receive the perfect peace of Christ because we know Jesus has defeated sin and death. Jesus has overcome the world.

Nothing is impossible for a true believer in Christ. His holy word gives us peace and the faith to move forward through any obstacle. The word of God says in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. WEB”

If our hearts are troubled, we can remember what Isaiah wrote and stay steadfast in the Lord. Being steadfast means that we have unwavering confidence in God’s goodness and his ability to meet our every need. Believing with all our heart and trusting in the Lord, we find perfect peace. He is our protector and provider. Jesus Christ is our salvation.

Prayer: “Father God, I trust in you. No matter what I’m going through, I know that you are with me. Guide me as I seek understanding of your word. I believe in your goodness and your mercy. I know that you guide my steps as I live a life of obedience to your will and word. In Jesus’ name – Amen”

No Peace for the Wicked

But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked. Isaiah 57:20-21 KJV Do you have peace in your soul? Peace requires that a person be calm. There is no peace when living...

Whoever Denies Me

But whoever denies me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 10:33 WEB When we acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God, Christ is faithful to acknowledge us to our Father in heaven. In contrast, Jesus taught, "whoever denies me before...
