Our Beliefs
As persons saved from sin through the grace of God by our Lord Jesus Christ, we are called to the Great Commission, sharing the good news of salvation with all of humanity. It is our privilege and duty to be instruments of Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit leads the lost into redemption and reconciliation to God.
The Inspired Word of God
- We believe in the inspired word of God and take the Bible to mean what it says. Further, we believe that God had a plan for redeeming mankind from sin through Jesus Christ and that both the Old Testament and New Testament reveal God’s love for people. Also, at Christian Genesis, we believe that all scripture gives practical instruction for how to live Godly lives. This is why we share!
Only One Living God
- We believe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one living God, infinite, unchangeable, and eternal. The all-powerful, all-knowing, loving Father reigns over the universe providing care and correction. Jesus Christ came to Earth, revealing himself as God in the flesh to redeem man as a sinless substitution for us on the cross, satisfying God’s righteous judgment against sin. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin bringing new life to believers in Christ. He lives within us giving comfort and spiritual gifts to the faithful. (Jesus said, “I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever: the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you. John 14:16-17 WEB)
God Created Heaven And Earth
- We believe in creation, that God made heaven and earth. It is our belief that God made man in his own image. Further, God created all living things. We believe that although God made man in his own image, mankind exists in a fallen state of sin because of disobedience. This is true of all men and except that we are born again through faith in Christ, we cannot enter into the presence of God in heaven. (In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. John 1:1-3 WEB)
Satan Is An Adversary to God
- We believe that the Devil, also known as Satan, is real, rebellious to God, inspired the fall of man and is destined to the judgment of God. He is our adversary and will spend eternity in hell. We believe God made hell for Satan and his fallen angels. Although God desires to save all people through Jesus Christ, those who reject salvation will suffer the same judgment. Christ is Our One True Savior
- We believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose from death on the third day. The blood shed on the cross redeems those who believe in Christ. Jesus ascended into heaven. He is our high priest and advocate. The only way to the Father is through Christ, our Savior. We are not saved by works but by grace through faith in Jesus. (Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 WEB)
