Joy and Peace

Joy and Peace

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 WEB

Do you have the joy and love that comes from a relationship of trust with God? Hope comes from our faith in Jesus Christ. Joy, and peace are fruits of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 lists nine fruits saying, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. NIV”

Romans 15:13 is a prayer from Paul for the believers in Christ. Peace, hope and trust are things that each of us long for. And yet, sometimes they elude us. While busy with life, we often allow our relationship with God to suffer.

Every Day with God

Do you want to have more hope, peace and joy in your life? Make a commitment to spend more time in prayer and study of God’s word. Remove the barriers of sin that drive a wedge between you and God and begin to experience more of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 7:16-17 reads, “By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. WEB” Experience the good fruit of the Holy Spirit by cultivating a mature relationship with God, living continually in his will.

Prayer: “Father God, thank you for the hope that comes from faith in Jesus Christ. Increase my joy and peace as I trust in you and your holy word. In Jesus’ Name – Amen”
