Thus Noah did. He did all that God commanded him. Genesis 6:22 WEB (Following God’s Commands)
The bible teaches us in Romans 3:10-12, “As it is written, “There is no one righteous; no, not one. There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God. They have all turned away. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one.” WEB”
The scriptures Paul referenced in Romans originate from the Book of Psalms and Ecclesiastes. They demonstrate that whether we are reading the Old Testament or New Testament, a common theme is our rebelliousness, our failure in following God’s commands. Fortunately for all of modern mankind, Noah adhered to the commands of God.
Faith in the Word of God
When the Lord directed Noah to build the ark and prepare for the flood, despite being mocked by others, he did what was required of him. Noah is a prime example of the salvation that comes through faith in the word of God. In addition, he demonstrates the value of living in obedience to God’s will.
Trouble comes from ignoring the word of God. Extreme loss results from being rebellious and living against God’s will. Jesus is quoted in Matthew 24:37, “As the days of Noah were, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. WEB” In these troubled times, let’s remember these scriptures and stay true to the commands of God.
Prayer: “Thank you Father for your word. Thank you for loving me and correcting me. I want to do your will. Lead me away from temptation. Search my heart and make me aware of my offenses. I humble myself in your presence and ask forgiveness for my sins. I forgive those who have offended me and thank you for your mercy. In Jesus’ name – Amen”
